Stay in Kuta, Legian, or Seminyak if you’re looking for a beach hotel that’s close to the airport and conveniently located for visiting Bali’s top attractions. Kuta is the main area for nightlife, shopping and tourism. Seminyak offers a more relaxed and refined atmosphere. Meanwhile, Legian sits in the middle.
Ubud in central Bali is another area to consider if you want to get away from the beach/party scene and focus more on the island’s cultural or natural attractions.
