Bandung is a favorite destination for backpackers. A bustling metropolis and the capital of West Java, Indonesia, Bandung offers plenty of attractions amidst huge tea plantations and majestic volcanic mountains.
One of the best places to visit in Bandung is Lembang, a beautiful and peaceful place blessed with a pleasant climate. Lembang is where you will find Dusun Bambu and The Bird’s Nest Cottages, an iconic site where you can engage in various activities while enjoying the picturesque views. Djuanda Forest Park is another must-see attraction. This protected area and botanical park cover 590 hectares and feature countless attractions and activities. It is considered a “jungle in a city”, home to around 2500 plant species.
Bandung is a three hour trip from Jakarta and one of the best side trips to level up your adventure. You can also fly directly into the city via Husein Sastranegara Airport, which serves flights from Singapore and Malaysia.
