After disbursement of IDR 800 billion, Lampung Governor will ask for more funds for road repairs if there is a shortage

TRIBUNNEWS.IT – Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi has said he will ask the government for more funds if there is still a shortage of funds to repair damaged roads in Lampung province.

It says the additional funds will be used to complete the 15 road repairs it had previously proposed.

This was communicated by Arinal Djunaidi during a meeting with interested parties in Lampung on Monday (8/5/2023).

However, if the budget is too much, the rest will be asked to repair roads other than 15 roads.

“15 roads in 15 regions/cities, but the PUPR Ministry is still working on it”.

Earlier, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had allocated funds of IDR 800 billion to repair roads in Lampung.

There are as many as 15 roads in Lampung that are expected to be repaired and will start in June 2023.

This was broadcast by Jokowi after visiting a series of damaged streets in Lampung on Saturday (6/5/2023) quoted by Instagram @jokowi.

Jokowi immediately ordered PUPR minister Basuki Hadimuljono to work on the road.

“The central government, through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Construction, will immediately repair a number of damaged roads in Lampung province, specifically allocating a budget of around Rp. 800 billion.” Joko Widodo said.

It is known that the damaged road in Lampung has long since become the subject of public criticism.

The climax was when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) paid a visit to Lampung province a few days ago.

Jokowi’s arrival meant that the central government took over the work on the badly damaged roads.
