Super Mister Aladdin’s journeyEid holiday is over, but time still want to go on holiday? So, coincidentally, Mr. Aladin and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) are running a Super Travel promotion until the end of May 2023.

This Super Travel promotion was launched to support the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy’s program to increase tourism movements in 2023. In addition, this program and this promotion also aim to introduce Priority Tourist Destinations (DPP) and Destinations Super Priority (DSP). But what exactly are DPP and DSP?

Whenever you are asked where you want to go on vacation, Bali will surely be one of your choices, right? Although there are many other tourist destinations with no less beautiful nature and culture than Bali. Government aware regarding this topic. Hence, the government has started developing a number of other tourist destinations outside of Bali in recent years.

Perhaps it has become commonplace that Bali is the top choice for many people when planning a vacation to the country. Though there are still many other tourist destinations which also offer a variety of genuine natural beauty and unique culture and will definitely provide quality tourism comparable to Bali. Obviously this gets so much attention, especially from the government. Seeing as, in recent years, the government has started to explore and develop a number of areas which also have potential tourist attractions outside of Bali.

As of 2015, Where the government has started to focus on developing 10 destinations select those deemed potential and attractive tours only in this country. The 10 destinations are Borobudur in Central Java, Mandalika in NTB, Labuan Bajo in NTT, Bromo Tengger Semeru in East Java, Thousand Islands in Jakarta, Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Wakatobi in North Sulawesi, Tanjung Lesung in Banten, Morotai in North Sumatra Moluccas and Tanjung Kelayang in Bangka Belitung Islands; which became known as Priority Tourism Destinations (DPP).

Subsequently, the government narrowed down the 10 destinations to 5, which were later named Five Super Priority Destinations (5 DSPs). The convergence of development of these 5 destinations is believed to advance the Indonesian tourism industry in the future. The 5 DSPs are Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Borobudur in Central Java, Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), and Likupang in North Sulawesi. These five destinations have great potential, uniqueness and tourist attraction but still need a lot of flair to be developed.

Seeing the good response, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, the government is increasingly trying to develop Indonesia’s tourism sector by focusing on five destinations, namely, Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Borobudur in Central Java, Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara, Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara and Likupang in North Sulawesi. These five destinations have great uniqueness and charm. Through good development, these five destinations can become the internationally known “New Bali” for Indonesian tourism.
