TRIBUNNEWS.IT – Below is an update on the final Football Group A standings for the SEA Games 2023 after playing the final two matches, Wednesday (5/10/2023).
The Indonesia U-22 national team strengthened their footsteps as group winners after defeating Cambodia with the score of 2-1.
The narrow victory against Cambodia allowed Garuda Muda to collect perfect points during the group stage, i.e. 12 points.
The automatic group winner status was successfully sealed by the Indonesian U22 national team at the 2023 SEA Games.

Indra Sjafri’s team is just waiting for the runners-up of Group B between Vietnam and Thailand to face each other in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, Cambodia had to bury its dream of qualifying after collapsing at the hands of Indonesia’s U22 international team.
Cambodia only managed to earn four points from the four games they played.
One win, one draw and two losses were the result of Cambodia’s performance at the 2023 SEA Games.
A ticket to the semi-final has finally been awarded to Myanmar, who are runners-up in Group A.
Myanmar’s success in defeating the Philippines with an unanswered goal in their last game resulted in the team firmly sealing the second position.
By acquiring 9 points, Myanmar has the right to accompany the Indonesian national team to become a representative of Group A in the semifinals.
For the fourth position is occupied by Timor Leste who earns three points.
Followed by the Philippines who must be willing to be last in the standings with only one point.
