Luc Devriese is a self-taught artist. Without a training as a baker, but very eager to learn and motivated, Luc did internships with the best national and foreign pastry chefs. The profession was dominated by the lashes of the whip.
In 1988 Luc thought it was time to stand on his own feet and opened his own Lucas bakery in Knokke on the corner of Lippenslaan and Kustlaan. This has become a highly renowned top business for 23 years. Always exploring new horizons, the business moved to its current location in 2012 under the name of “Atelier-Lucas”. From there he is still as enthusiastic as he was in the beginning, together with Yoko and their team of motivated employees, this thriving business. Full of ideas and stimulated by innovation, with an open attitude to explore new horizons, Luc Devriese remains true to his roots. Above all, he remains the buccaneer with an incredible passion and commitment to his “bread and pastry” business.
