TRIBUNNEWS.IT – The German government will increase military aid to Ukraine.
The military aid includes military funds worth €2.7 billion.
In addition, Germany will transfer 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 30 Leopard 1 tanks, up to 200 reconnaissance drones, Gepard anti-aircraft vehicles, additional IRIS-T anti-aircraft missiles, artillery shells and transports to Ukraine.
“The German Chancellery and other ministries have agreed in secret negotiations to send Ukraine additional weapons worth around 2.7 billion euros” in the coming weeks and months, according to the report. Sputnik.
The aid will be the largest arms package supplied to Ukraine by Germany since Russia’s military operation began in February 2022.

The announcement of the package is expected to be made on Sunday (14/5/2023), at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s award ceremony along with the Charlemagne Prize in the German city of Aachen.
The prize is awarded annually for contributions to European unification.
In early May 2023, German media reported that President Zelensky planned to visit Germany at the invitation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on May 13, 2023.
Ukraine is deeply disappointed that details of Zelensky’s visit have been made public and is considering canceling the trip, according to T- Taken Online news.
