AMPONTOONS.COM, JAKARTA – Former Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos), Idrus Marham has been elected President General of the Makassar Alumni Association (IKA) of Alauddin Islamic State University (UIN) for the period 2023-2028.
Idrus was shortlisted at BPP IKA UINAM National Work Meeting (Rakernas) at Myko Hotel, Makassar City, South Sulawesi on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
Idrus Marham was determined to change the tradition of the UINAM IKA organization by maximizing membership, many of whom came from academic backgrounds, professors and professors.
According to him, the potential of such a large organization is needed to present great ideas that can be directed towards the realization of the integrity of the people and the nation.

“The integrity of the people and the nation is needed so that they can go hand in hand so that there are no divisions between people. Community solidarity has the potential to solve the problems of the state,” he said on Monday (22/ 5/2023).
Idrus emphasized that IKA UINAM is committed to creating programs that can have implications for a global and sustainable movement geared towards the needs of the Indonesian people and nation.
He also conveyed a series of messages to all of his management for the advancement of the UINAM alma mater and the community at large.
Idrus said that the philosophy of the organization, especially IKA UINAM, in principle, is to uphold the commitment of all-time service to the people and the nation.
“Because this is a pious charitable movement as a form of dedication, because the concept of IKA UINAM is that life is service forever,” he said.
Idrus also asked all UINAM alumni to always think positively when faced with various problems.
According to him, every alumni of UIN Alauddin must continue to think positively, lift each other up, support each other, in the context of service to the people.
Also present at the inauguration ceremony and silatnas was the UINAM IKA leadership who delivered remarks by Grand Imam of Istiqlal Mosque Jakarta Nasaruddin Umar, Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, UIN Chancellor Alauddin Prof. Hamdan Juhannis, former President of IKA UINAM prof.
