Peaceful, idyllic and full of character. Belmond Jimbaran Puri is a classic experience that takes you back in time, as if you are back in the atmosphere of Bali of the 70s.
Situated on the Jimbaran waterfront, our journey takes us through a picturesque and shady alley lined with several temples. The road ends in a small roundabout, signaling our arrival at the property. A small wooden bridge took us across a pond to the lobby.

After a smooth check-in, we were escorted to our favorite beach room. The room has a small garden and an outdoor shower. To our right was the main entrance to the room; a generous space finished with cool marble floors, sumptuous teak woods and high beamed ceilings.
The beautiful en suite bathroom with its iconic sunken terrazzo bath is very pleasant to have, but our favorite has to be the small door next to the study table, which leads to our private area overlooking the green fields of the property and the Ocean. This is the atmosphere that defines the Belmond Jimbaran.
In the late afternoon, we took a short walk to Nelayan, Belmond’s beach restaurant. Directly facing west with Jimbaran Hill to your left and the airport to your right, this is a wonderful place to enjoy the picturesque sunset. Before the pandemic, you still get this quaint feeling in Belmond, which made this place extra special. You would just have more airplanes flying in and out of Bali in the distance like your view 🙂
As the night sky replaces the warm colors of the sunset, we settled down for dinner. In the spirit of Jimbaran’s famed seafood, we opted for salmon tartare, grilled red snapper, and crabmeat pasta. The last meal is probably one of the best fish pasta in Bali!

From the sumptuous wooden accents of our luxury cottages to the gentle lapping of the waves on our golden beach, every detail adds to the iconic experience Belmond offers. It is certainly not to be missed; located very close to the airport made this a perfect last outing to any trip to Bali.
