AMPONTOONS.COM, JAKARTA – Green Belt Ganjar Muda Padjadjaran (GMP) continues to strive for positive activities to preserve the environment.
One of them is planting 1,000 mangrove seedlings at Tiris Beach, Pabean Ilir Village, Pasekan District, Indramayu Regency, West Java.
The central executive of GMP, Ari Alamiri, said that the social action was inspired by the figure of Ganjar Pranowo, considered attentive to various issues, including the environment.
“And this activity was also inspired by the figure of Mr. Ganjar Pranowo, who is always consistent in protecting the environment, one of which is that he planted many mangroves on the Pantura of Semarang,” said Ari on Wednesday (10/5/ 2023).
In addition to preventing disasters on the coast, mangrove planting is also done as an education for local residents to continue to protect nature through reforestation efforts.
Also, Ari said, the northern and southern coastal areas are highly prone to disasters such as abrasion.
“And one of the plants that can help avoid disasters is mangroves,” Ari explained.
The activity was also a form of door-to-door socialization of Ganjar Pranowo in the local area.
On the same occasion, a resident named Tokim welcomed the activities carried out by the volunteers.
“My hope is that he is not here just for planting, everything on the shores of Indramayu beach must be accessible for all reforestation and Mr. Ganjar is consistent with this environmental agenda,” Tokim said.
