AMPONTOONS.COM, JAKARTA – The Crescent Star Party (PBB) will visit the General Election Commission (KPU) office to register potential candidates for the DPR RI Legislature on Saturday (13/5/2023) tomorrow around 1pm WIB.
UN President-General Yusril Ihza Mahendra will directly lead registration for the legislative elections.
“God willing, I will come tomorrow at 1 (to KPU),” Yusril said when meeting after a public lecture at the University of Indonesia on Friday (5/12/2023).
The UN, he said, had prepared all the needs related to the registration of legislative candidates.
It has also prepared 580 Bacalegs to be registered in all electoral districts (dapils).
“Everything is ready, all that remains is to register, all electoral districts, 580 Bacalegs,” he said.
As reported, the Crescent Star Party (PBB) will register its prospective legislative candidates with the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) on May 13, the day before registration closes.
United Nations Deputy Secretary-General (Wasekjen) Solihin Pure said there was a reason behind why his party chose May 13 as the registration day for legislative elections.
“We have a plan and we have discussed it based on the date with the number. So PBB is number 13, we will register on the 13th, the time is also 13,” said Pure when meeting the media crew at the KPU office Indonesian, Jakarta.
So far, in preparations for the registration, the United Nations admits that it has not encountered any problems.
“There’s been no issues so far, no issues, so we’re just waiting for the 13th,” he explained.
For information, in this registration process potential candidates must complete the steps of entering data into the Candidacy Information System (Silon) provided by KPU.
The KPU itself has officially opened the enrollment of legislative candidates for members of the DPR and DPD for the period 2024-2029.

Registrations start today, from Monday 1 May 2023 to 14 May 2023.
Registration hours start from 08:00 to 16:00 local time for May 1-13, 2023.
Specifically for 14 May 2023, the opening hours for registrations are longer, i.e. from 08.00 to 23.59 WIB.
