SEA Games 2023 Medal Rankings Update: Indonesia in 3rd Place with 70 Golds, Jokowi Goal Met

TRIBUNNEWS.IT – Check out the update on SEA Games 2023 medal standings after Indonesia achieved the goal set by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Previously, Jokowi targeted the Indonesian contingent to win 69 gold medals at the 2023 SEA Games.

The Indonesian contingent won their 69th gold medal through the sport of finswimming number 200m, Sunday (14/5/2023) evening WIB.

In the final round which took place at Aquatic Center, Morodok Techo National Cambodia, Janis Rosalita Suprianto managed to finish fastest.

He managed to wave the red and white flag after setting the best time, 1 minute and 32.25 seconds.

Not long after, the Indonesian contingent won their 70th gold medal through the esports issue PUBG Mobile: Mixed Team Event.

Now, President Jokowi’s goal has been blocked by the Indonesian contingent.

Apart from that, Indonesia can still increase its number of gold medals at the 2023 SEA Games.

One of them is through the men’s soccer branch which will face Thailand in the final match, on Tuesday (19/5/2023).

Based on Instagram uploads @kemenpora, Sunday (14/5/2023), Indonesia is currently in third place in the SEA Games 2023 provisional medal table.

Indonesia managed to collect a total of 210 medals, with details of 70 gold, 60 silver and 80 bronze.

Indonesia managed to displace host Cambodia into fourth place.

Additionally, Vietnam still leads the medal table with 107 medals

Then follows Thailand in second place, with the acquisition of 91 gold medals.
