On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, the celebrated aperitif restaurant in Ubud welcomes Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Dunand Sauthier of Maison Dunand Bangkok. This unforgettable culinary experience features a 7-course degustation, where the guest chef will showcase his refined and refined approach to French cuisine.

As one of Bali’s most opulent fine-dining restaurants, Apéritif Bar & Restaurant welcomes diners to its grand 1920s-inspired restaurant nestled between a verdant rice field and the majestic Ubud River valley. It’s an exquisite venue, matched by the quality and sophistication of its cuisine, led by Executive Chef Nic Vanderbeeken.

Normally, patrons are served a menu of global flavors with Indonesian influences, a testament to Chef Nic’s culinary expertise. On May 2, however, Aperitif will host the origins of good food: French haute cuisine.

Chef Arnaud Dunand Sauthier comes from the mountains of Savoy, France. Before starting his own restaurant, Chef Arnaud ran the famous restaurant in Bangkok Normandy since 2012, where earned the institution its first two Michelin stars in the first edition of the Bangkok Michelin Guide in 2017, stars he kept until his departure.

Now, in his restaurant, Dunand house, chef Arnaud presents a more personal menu, which pays homage to the mountain cuisine of his home in Savoie. His dishes bring warmth and soul to fine French cuisine and follow the seasonality of ingredients while respecting the surrounding terroir.

Those attending the special dinner at the Aperitif Restaurant will be able to savor some of Chef Arnaud’s exquisite creations through a 7-course tasting menu with premium ingredients such as Pertuous Asparagus, Brittany Mackerel and Kaluga Caviar.
