The main attraction of Baluran National Park is Bekol Savannah, a lush evergreen forest, with the dormant volcano Mount Baluran in the background. Water buffalo, deer, leopards and birds are just some of the species you can see roaming the 300-hectare savannah. At the edge of the national park is the unexplored Bama Beach, which offers a mesmerizing scene of a sparkling ocean. It offers various water activities, from canoeing to diving and snorkelling.
Baluran National Park is easily accessible from Surabaya, the capital of the East Java region, where domestic and international flights take place. It is your gateway to the province from major Asian cities such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Jeddah.
